Fiona Crawford is a writer, editor, and researcher whose work spans social and environmental issues, the arts, and football.

Her work has appeared in The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Big Issue, Peppermint, Kill Your Darlings, Bookseller+Publisher, Writing Queensland, FourFourTwo, and The Conversation. She has also produced content for the Matildas and the W-League and the Homeless World Cup.

She is the author of The Matilda Effect and The Rise of the Matildas: Inside the Women’s World Cup Campaign, and is the co-author of Never Say Die: The Hundred-Year Overnight Success of Australian Women’s Football.

Fiona is also an adjunct lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology’s Centre for Justice.
